Welcome to Yoga with Jeannie Stevens

When we approach yoga from a place of mindfulness, we are able to connect with our own personal truth. These classes will introduce the student to the basic philosophy of yoga and will include asana (yoga postures), basic pranayama (breathing), meditation or chanting and relaxation. Instruction will be given for both beginner and advanced students and all students are encouraged to work at an appropriate level.

Jeannie Stevens has been teaching Yoga for over 40 years in 
both Victoria, BC and Whitehorse, Yukon. Jeannie’s balanced 
style of Yoga focuses on the whole person and incorporates 
breath work, yoga asana, relaxation, meditation and self 
inquiry into her classes. She also works therapeutically 
with individuals recovering from illness, injury or loss 
and those wishing to deepen their personal relationship 
with Yoga. 

In gratitude Jeannie honors her teachers, Swami Sivananda 
Radha and Gangaji. She has been registered with Yoga Alliance 
since 2001 and a member of the International Association 
of Yoga Therapists from 2004-2016.
